I’m humbled and overwhelmed to get to share some wonderful news with you. Toastmaster Magazine’s editorial staff unanimously chose me for a major cover story for its monthly print edition in over 140 countries!

For nearly a century, Toastmasters International has been the world’s largest and most respected organization for teaching communication and leadership skills. Today, there are hundreds of thousands of Toastmasters members all over the world.

I’m amazed by the extraordinary care they put into this story – they truly inspired me to continue raising my standards. The article focuses on the adversity and many obstacles that stood in the way of my becoming a concert pianist. I started playing piano at an age that was considered far “too old” to become a concert pianist and was forced to do it with no support, no money and while facing career-threatening health challenges that prevented me from performing for a number of years.

I believe every challenge is an opportunity for growth. This is what kept me going in the face of obstacles, and it’s an important reason why I’m passionate about teaching adult piano learners. This attitude has led me to continually welcome new challenges.
