EUREKA!!!

We did it!

After years of hard work, we finally launched Echo™ and Chordio 2.0™.

These apps solve two of the biggest challenges in learning the piano today, namely:

Playing by ear and mastering chords
in every piece you play.

(And since I personally developed these two apps, you really won’t find anything similar in any piano resources online.)

This is a huge milestone for Key-Notes.

So to celebrate this special event with you, we’re doing a limited-time promo where you can…

Join Key-Notes at 50% off!

(Annual membership for only $282)

My team told me that I might be severely underpricing Key-Notes at this price point.

And I can’t disagree – especially when you consider the quality of education members get inside the Key-Notes learning environment.

But since we’re celebrating a special occasion, I believe it’s alright.

Besides, my goal with Key-Notes has always been to make the highest-quality instruction available to as many piano learners as possible.

What is Key-Notes?

Key-Notes is an online platform that offers conservatory-level education for learning classical piano.

It uniquely combines step-by-step video lessons with innovative software to give piano students – especially adult learners – an immersive learning experience so they can play their favorite pieces beautifully and confidently.

In fact, if I lost all my ability to play the piano and I had to start over again from scratch…

This is the first resource I would buy.

How so?

Because in some ways…

Key-Notes is my answer to the
backwards music education system
most piano learners face.

Let me explain:

When you begin learning the piano, there’s an assumption that since you’re playing at a lower level, then you just need a lower-level teacher – perhaps a random YouTube influencer or a run-of-the-mill online course.

But as you get more advanced, so the thinking goes, that’s when you need to “upgrade” to a more sophisticated, artist-level teacher to help you in your journey.

I believe this is actually backwards.

Because in this typical scenario, piano students are likely to form bad habits early on. Habits that could take years to fix once they do start working with a more experienced teacher.

That’s why, based on my decades of teaching, I discovered that students need the most experienced, artist-level teachers as early in their music education process as possible.

The only problem is…

Concert-level artists don’t typically work with beginners. They’re usually accessible only to aspiring professional musicians studying at elite conservatories. Or they’re simply too expensive for students who are just starting out.

That’s where
Key-Notes bridges the gap.

You see, I’ve been a concert pianist for most of my life.

In 1998, I moved to Vienna to be in the best possible environment to learn music and find the best music teachers to help me.

And over the years, I have acquired “insider” knowledge of techniques, best practices, and well-guarded “secrets” of how concert pianists play so expressively and master the keyboard.

When I built Key-Notes, my goal was to create a platform to compile everything I’ve learned over the decades and…

Give accessible “Juilliard-level” education
to piano learners who want to
play beautifully and expressively.

To do that, I deliberately avoided shortcuts or “hacks,” in contrast to what so many online courses do.

Instead, I focused on creating a system of lessons and tools to help piano learners build a solid foundation.

In other words, I want aspiring pianists to master the fundamentals because it’s the only way to help them unleash their true potential as musicians.

To drive home this point, here are the tools you can find inside the Key-Notes platform and how they can help you build your musical foundation:

Virtual Practice Room

One of the biggest downsides to learning piano online is you have to figure out a lot of things on your own. Especially when you don’t always have a reliable, step-by-step model you can follow.

That’s why most piano students rely on trial and error that makes the learning process much slower and the playing less secure.

The good news is…

Virtual Practice Room™ is specially designed to solve this issue.

By giving you a model performance to follow, you can easily see exactly what keys to press and which fingers to use for each note.

This eliminates guesswork because you’ll know exactly what to do every step of the way – even without a teacher present.

Watch this short video for more information:

Next is…

Echo

Have you ever practiced a piece for days only to forget it days later?

Or do you feel lost when you have no sheet music in front of you?

If yes, then you’re probably missing one of the most crucial musical skills: the ability to play what you hear in your mind.

That’s where Echo™ comes in.

Echo is one of our newest apps inside the Key-Notes learning environment. It’s designed to help piano learners develop the critically important connection between what you hear in your mind and what you play on the keyboard.

And once you master this skill, you won’t have to rely solely on your muscle memory or the sheet music, because your ear will guide your fingers to the right keys.

Watch this 1-minute video to learn more about Echo:

Then we have…

Chordio 2.0

I developed this app to help piano students master piano chords methodically.

Using systematic and well-organized chord drills, playing chords will soon become second nature – effortless and intuitive – for you.

The goal here is to help you understand the music inside and out, which makes learning much faster and music easier to remember.

So you’re not just pressing keys and developing only muscle memory, you’re actually learning how the piece is built, chord by chord.

Here’s a short video where I talk more about Chordio:

And then there’s…

Interactive Scores

What if you can have an expert teacher by your side every time you practice?

With Interactive Scores, you can!

Using this tool, you can click on anything you see in a piece of music – a symbol, a chord, or a musical concept – and watch a concise video lesson explaining what it is and how to play it. You can even gain insight into the compositional language used by the great composers.

It’s like having “X-ray vision” with every piece you’re learning.

Watch this video for more details:

In addition to these proprietary tools unique to Key-Notes, there are also…

Hundreds of carefully prepared, on-demand video lessons on
dozens of classical pieces.

But it’s never overwhelming.

Each piece is its own 7-step learning journey that walks you step by step through mastery.

Simply watch the lessons that are relevant to your stage, whether you’re a complete beginner or at an intermediate or early advanced level.

Key-Notes is a very rich platform, so you’ll have plenty of material for years of musical nourishment.

Now, with this unique combination of the ever-growing library of Key-Notes lessons and expanding menu of proprietary learning tools, Key-Notes is unlike any other online course for learning piano.

Most online courses are designed to get you watching endless video lectures without making sure that you’re applying what you’re learning correctly.

Some platforms feature many different experts teaching different techniques. That can be of value… until those techniques contradict one another as they so often do – leaving students confused and stuck.

And still others sell you on the idea that all you need are shortcuts. That you don’t need music theory (it’s “boring” anyway!) That you don’t need to practice scales. That you don’t need chords, or ear training, or any system to learn. All you need is to memorize keypresses.

Key-Notes is different.

Because…

Key-Notes is a step-by-step system for learning the language of music.

Which means it’s a consistent and logical methodology you can follow to experience measurable progress in your piano journey.

And inside the Key-Notes platform, I guide you through this specific method that allows you to build mastery of the core musical skills you need to play any piece.

This was a decision I weighed early on when I was building Key-Notes.

I could have invited many different excellent pianists to teach on the platform so it would develop faster and have more content.

But I knew it would result in problems for my students because learning so many different methods leads to confusion and overwhelm.

So instead of doing that, I focused all my effort on refining the Key-Notes method to make sure it becomes a solid and proven way to learn and master classical piano.

I’m happy to say that the results speak for themselves:

What Students Are Saying...

Hundreds of people just like you are already learning using this innovative yet proven method. Here are a few comments from students:

"Wonderment and Sheer Enjoyment"

The more I delve into the realm of music theory, my thirst is unquenchable. Until I started the lessons of Albert Frantz, I had not the notion that the music world was so intricate, yet attainable to the "uneducated" such as myself. I am taking formal lessons from an instructor, yet I find my time here just as valuable (if not more), being able to absorb the theory and have it so well explained, which is an immense tool for becoming a more adept pianist. Since I have only started my lessons in the past few months, I realize I have a long path ahead, however, I am most certain that the journey will be one of wonderment and sheer enjoyment. Thank you so much for the treasured insights!

- Peggy

"Clearly Presented and Easy to Understand"

This is a marvelously done productionVery articulate, clearly presented lessons make it easy to understand. Though I would generally have skipped this section of lectures given my 15+ years of choir and concert singing and long familiarity with piano sheet music, I am grateful that I didn't as there was information presented to which I had not been previously exposed. I look forward to continuing my journey.

- John

"Complete, Step by Step"

You have been on my mind for a very long time. I am one of your students who signed on when you began teaching piano online. The lessons have grown into a detailed COMPLETE college and wonderful visual step by step course. ❤️🏅

- Diane

But is Key-Notes the best online method
for learning classical piano music?

I know what it can do and I’m proud of what Key-Notes has become.

However, I’m certainly not too conceited to claim that it’s the only “right way” to learn.

That being said:

    • if you’re an adult learner…
    • If you don’t have a lot of time to experiment and you’re looking for a consistent, proven, “conservatory-level” method taught by an experienced concert pianist…
    • If you’re wanting a more immersive learning experience by using tools designed to speed up your progress…
    • If you value the importance of expertise and having professional guidance…
    • If you have a growth mindset, you’re teachable, coachable, and genuinely love and adore classical piano music…

Then I believe Key-Notes
is the right method for you.

And if you join before the deadline ends, you can join at 50% off and get an annual membership for only $282.

Now, in case you have any more questions, here are some answers:

“Who are you and why should I trust you?”

My name is Albert Frantz. I started my musical path as a classical pianist at the unusual age of seventeen. That’s why I can relate so well to people who are starting late with the piano.

Thanks to the teachers and mentors who believed in me, I went on to win local, state, and national piano competitions in the United States before becoming the first pianist to be awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to Vienna in nearly a decade.

With the help of world-class mentors, including Dr. Steven H. Smith at Penn State University, Prof. Roland Batik at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna, the distinguished pianist Prof. Paul Badura-Skoda, Profs. Marylène Dosse of Penn State University, Dr. Harvey Wedeen of Temple University, Jörg Demus, and Sally Sargent, I fulfilled my dream of becoming a concert pianist.

My path even led me all the way to being the soloist in Brahms’ 2nd Piano Concerto in the legendary Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein, the home of the Vienna Philharmonic.

I also have some background in engineering which allows me to build software applications that help my students significantly speed up their progress at the piano.

My goal has been to use my extensive experience as a concert pianist and ability to develop apps to make Key-Notes the most valuable platform for learning classical piano online.

“What makes Key-Notes unique compared
to other online courses teaching piano?”

Key-Notes is more than just an online course.

It’s a full-blown method.

A method that uniquely combines step-by-step video lessons with innovative software applications to give you an immersive learning experience when studying the piano.

Unlike traditional online courses that focus mostly on endless video lectures, Key-Notes challenges you to actually put your skills to the test using the tools I developed specifically to meet the most pressing needs of music learners.

Here’s what some of my students said about this:

Here's what students have had to say about the course:

"A Real Joy"

Enriched my life in so many ways through your love of piano and through teaching me things that I never thought I could learn. Truly I can tell you that it's your lessons that have made my time in the piano a real joy.

- Eli

"Enjoying Learning"

Learning the piano and building my music reading skills have been my "lockdown project" and I wanted you to know how much I'm enjoying and learning from your online piano course.

Very best wishes,

- Úna

"Premium Quality... Ecstatic Pleasure"

Albert, thank you very much for new premium quality content and tools for learning. It's a real pleasure to listen and to watch how you play on this beautiful piano and it gives me ecstatic pleasure from looking at such good work and filming quality. They say that every note was recorded on a real Bösendorfer Imperial concert grand... and this is my favorite sound.
Thank you!

- Alexander

“What makes Key-Notes the best method
for learning classical piano music?”

To my knowledge, no other resources out there use this systematic approach of combining conservatory-level instruction with interactive apps.

I also made sure that every major problem learners have is isolated and properly addressed using the built-in tools inside the Key-Notes learning environment.

Here are some examples:

  • Technique – Key-Notes has a dedicated module named “Fundamentals of Piano Technique” that features professional technique principles needed for all stages of development.

You can also use the Virtual Practice Room as well as individual lessons on each repertoire piece covering the specific techniques needed to play it musically, expressively, and freely.
  • Music Theory – Key-Notes’ Interactive Scores™ covers this + Individual repertoire lessons that discuss the theory for each piece extensively.
  • Scales – We have a dedicated module for this named “Mastering Piano Scales.”
  • Chords – Use our Chordio™ app to master the chords of any piece you’re learning.
  • Rhythm – You can use Key-Notes’ Virtual Practice Room to help you improve your rhythm on the keyboard.
  • Reading Music– Please study our dedicated module for this named “How To Read Sheet Music.”
  • Ear Training (Developing Aural Skills) – Our newly released app Echo™ is designed to help you with your ear training.
  • Expressive Playing – Literally every repertoire lesson covers the techniques and what to listen for so you can express your emotions at the keyboard!

Whatever issues you’re facing with your playing, Key-Notes can help you with it.

“How long before I can play my favorite pieces?”

It largely depends on your current level.

If you’re a complete beginner, then obviously you can’t expect to play complicated pieces in a few weeks.

(Though I have students who began as total novices, but in just 3 months, they can already play pieces like Moonlight Sonata, Minuet in G, and Bach’s Prelude in C. This is not in any way, shape or form, a guarantee that you’ll have the same results. But it gives you a good idea of what’s possible.)

I designed Key-Notes so it can cater people in different stages in their piano journey.

So whether you’re a complete beginner who never played the piano before, or with some experience looking to refresh your memory, or you’re more advanced, the Key-Notes learning environment can help you.

“Do you offer a payment plan?”

We’re not offering a payment plan for this special 50% discount offer.

If you’re looking for a lower monthly payment option in lieu of a one-time $282 annual payment, you can join Key-Notes via our monthly subscription option for the regular price of $47 per month.

“Do you offer a guarantee?”

Key-Notes provides a "conservatory-grade" education for piano learners along with proprietary apps that can help you speed up your progress with the keyboard drastically.

If you follow the method and utilize these tools, you’ll see measurable improvements in your playing quickly.

That being said, no one can practice for you.

In other words, you still have to do the work and follow the method to realize your potential as a musician.

If you commit, you'll succeed. If you go in with one foot out the door, honestly you won't.

So if you’re willing to commit to your learning, go step by step through the course, and make use of Key-Notes’ exclusive learning tools, a year from now you’ll be looking back with pride on your musical achievements!

(Plus we have our regular monthly subscription option for $47 if you’d prefer to learn one month at a time.)

That’s why we have an all-sales-final policy.

Please consider that before you make the decision to join Key-Notes.
